Re: [SMAUG] If Check
Re: [SMAUG] If Check
Trying to think of how this could be done with the standard code, I put
in a new data entry for areas to make sure exits and such are
not duplicated and to keep track of location and difficulty of randomly
generated mobs.
Anyway, you probably want to use the wilderness exit list for this
change. Just search through all the exits from the wilderness to areas
and compare the
vnum to your area in question till you find one in the hi-low range.
Once it is found, you should know what map it is on (if not, add the
new field for the map
so you can get it quickly)
This way once it finds it, you will know what map it is on.

OK, with my Overland problems behind me I turn to face new problems. Well,
this time I want to add a check into do_areas to check which continent the
area is on And then to send to the char a string. For example:
If the continent is called Alsherok then I want it to show (Alsherok) on the
screen.
Also does anyone know of a way you can set mobs to be a certain clan and
will attack other clans on sight. So as to allow clans to take over areas
etc.
