Re: [SMAUG] Questions

Lies, all lies, fear the sarcasm. Thanks for the comment, and yeah, it is either I am trying to help, or I
am lazy, pick one :-)

Well, what I see is that there are coders of varying levels of skill. As far
as I know most people try and fix problems before thay ask, and also some
people ask if someone has done something so that they can get hold of it
without having to spend time doing something that will just be called a
clone of Xerves or Samsons origional.
I think that Xerves has a great way of helping, instead of telling you the
answer he helps your coding skills by giving you hints on what needs to be
done and letting you work it out. That wasnt sarcasm btw, I think it is a
great method, especially as Ive been teaching myself how to code and dont
have help from others.

I glance at the account this mailing list is on every
once in a while, and it seems to me that the same
people ask questions over and over. If you can't do
ANYTHING (how do I make mobs attack a certain clan?)
yourself then you shouldn't be programming. Buy a
good C book and read.
